Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

That just about sums it up. Things have been non-stop for months and there is no sign of that changing any time soon.

Chris is working like a madman (one-armed post-surgery) to get everything built, organized and ready for Spike's, as well as working full time and contemplating our upcoming mandated move.

Tanya has been putting the finishing touches on the Girls of Spike's Calendar ( www.girlsofspikes.com ) that she shot.

Both of them will do a dance of joy when it is printed, out and hopefully selling like hotcakes.

The calendar release party is happening on August 10 www.girlsofspikes.com/release . Can we get an "AMEN!"?


She has also been trying not to go mad, and reading "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" into the wee hours of the night. She just finished it last night. All she has to say is....Wow.....

Neither of them have seen each other except to say an exhausted hello since Chris was well enough after his surgery to be mobile again. They think they still know what the other looks like but aren't entirely certain.

Delirium is the word of the year. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Day 3 A visit from Deirdre & Sterling the Wonder Dog

Sterling is known as Tanya's furry boyfriend. He is the bestest dog in the world!

See what I mean? He hopped on Chris's lap...and Chris passed out almost immediately.
The pain meds have nothing to do with it. Really. I swear.

Sterling brought his awesome human, Deirdre over to hang out at Wayward House today.
Deirdre, Chris and Tanya just stuffed themselves on delivery sushi.
Sterling got rice and leftover chicken.
Everyone was happy.

Valhalla Renaissance Faire & The Northern California Pirate Festival

This is our friend Peter. He is a Pirate. Nuff said.

This is Chris. He is obviously delirious. He spent 3 days busting his butt in the wind and sun getting and keeping all of the beverage equipment running for the Northern California Pirate Festival in Vallejo.
The festival expected 5000 people total. They had 15000 the first day alone. You do the math.

The two weekends prior to the pirate festival, we both worked at the Valhalla Renaissance Faire in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. It was pretty, but grueling also. Chris runs the beverage department there and that means set up, equipment, managing people, dealing with things breaking and running around like a crazy man. Festive. We do this why? Oh yeah...because we are supposed to be having fun while we do it.
